Welcome ladies & germs to a special Survivor Series edition of Remember When.
Do you remember when Survivor Series matches had tag teams?
Back in the day, there were survivor series matches that had actual tag teams. I’m talking real tag teams with matching attire, a name, the works. There were a total of 10 tag teams in the match with 5 teams in each SS team. So that meant that there were a total of 20 guys in one match. 18 of them would stand on the apron while the other two did what they did best and that was wrestle a match. Now you might say that because of all of those guys being in one tag team match that it wouldn’t work out. On the contrary those matches were fun to watch, in my opinion. When you have guys like Bret Hart, Dynamite Kid, Shawn Michaels, British Bulldog, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, etc. in one match, there is no way you can go wrong.
For you old school wrestling fans or fans that want to know what I’m talking about, here’s a tag team Survivor Series match from 1988 that pitted Demolition, The Bolsheviks, The Fabulous Rougeaus, The Conquistadors, & The Brain Busters vs The Powers of Pain, The British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, The Young Stallions, & The Rockers.
